Ioan Cleaton-Jones is an experienced consultant and institutional investor with a deep understanding of healthcare and finance gained over 25 years. He was Principal Health Industry Specialist at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Bank Group for 11 years, where he carried out 72 health projects including hospitals, clinics, laboratories, oncology centers, medical imaging, renal dialysis, ambulance services, dental clinics and medical device manufacturing. He has conducted detailed due diligence on $1.2 billion of private sector healthcare investments and advised on a $1.6 billion portfolio across multiple asset classes: private and public equity, debt and mezzanine finance. He currently advises a $200m hedge fund on its healthcare portfolio. Previously, he worked in biotech venture capital and management at Angle Technology, UK and was a management consultant at KPMG, South Africa and Shift Health, Canada. Dr. Cleaton-Jones has worked in 33 countries on healthcare finance, strategy and operations. He has an MD from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and an MBA from the University of Southampton, UK. He speaks French, Spanish and Afrikaans.
