Jerry La Forgia is a leader in global health and hospitals.  He was formerly Lead Health Specialist for China at the World Bank, leading the dialogue and analytic work for Vice-Premier Liu Yandong in the country’s healthcare reform agenda, as well as the World Bank’s Lead Health Specialist in India and Brazil. His major areas of research include hospital governance and management, quality of care, health insurance, and public-private partnerships for health service delivery. He has worked in these areas across Latin America, South Asia and East Asia. He has an Sc.D. in Health Service Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.
